Three Ways To Live Your Life

As I have been sitting around waiting for the semester to end, thinking this time will be different, I'll change and be better, I find myself so enveloped in the past and the future that I don't live in the now. This is of course something that I have been aware that I do but still have yet to overcome. So ultimately what is the best way to live your life? I have come up with three answers to ways people do live their lives. First there are those who choose to live the past, to remember the good old days, to remember past mistakes, and to wish you had to do it all over again. There are those who live in the present, fun and energetic, but with a sense of irresponsibility that makes the future more difficult. Finally there are those who look to the future, saving for this, hoping for that, always putting off living because now isn't a convenient time.

This semester I have been bombarded with the social theories of Plato, Durkheim, Marx, Weber, Kant, and countless other people who predicted how people are going to act. Truthfully whether it was a positivist or post-positivist, Platonic or Marxist none of the theories describe every aspect of life. I believe, which is probably why I did so bad on my midterms, that you will only find true human nature if you are willing to mesh all these ideas together take a sample and through in a dash of passion, because that is how we all act. How is this accomplished, I have no idea!!!

I will think of the good things in my past, but not strive to relive them. I will look forward to my future and realize great things are yet to come. I will find a passion in today, because this is my life. So now here is the question, where will life take me next? Leave me a comment, let me know what I should do, I'm asking you for help, and remember that even if all the world seems dark, I still love you.
